Vestipitant tinnitus study by GSK

Historical Phase 2 crossover study evaluating the oral NK1 receptor antagonist vestipitant alone and with paroxetine for tinnitus associated with hearing loss.

Verified as a real historical GSK-sponsored Phase 2 randomized, double-blind crossover study of oral vestipitant, alone or with paroxetine, for tinnitus associated with hearing loss. ClinicalTrials.gov and the GSK study register identify NKP106254/NCT00394056 as completed. The peer-reviewed 2011 publication reported no statistically significant tinnitus benefit and concluded vestipitant, alone or with paroxetine, was not effective in this patient group. This should remain a study-level historical record, not a current GSK pipeline asset or separate product records for each treatment arm.
